Iranian President Arrives in Pakistan Today – Full Schedule of High-Level Meetings

Islamabad: Under the Iranian President Visit Pakistan Schedule, Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian is arriving in Islamabad today, June 23, 2026, on a one-day official visit to Pakistan. This is the Iranian President's second official visit to Pakistan, and he will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers and senior government officials.


Complete preparations have been made in Islamabad to welcome the Iranian President. The federal capital has been decorated with Pakistani and Iranian flags and welcome banners. Security arrangements have been made, entry points to the Red Zone have been closed, and traffic diversions have been implemented across the city.


The Iranian President's visit will consist of high-level meetings with all top Pakistani officials.


The Iranian President is expected to meet President Asif Ali Zardari to discuss bilateral relations and regional affairs. Detailed negotiations will be held with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, covering all aspects including bilateral relations, trade, energy, border security, and regional connectivity. Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will also meet the Iranian President. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will also participate in these meetings.


The main agenda of this visit is the framework of the US-Iran peace agreement. The Iranian President will thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Pakistan's role. A 60-day roadmap was agreed upon in the talks held in Switzerland, paving the way for a final agreement.


Other important topics include promoting bilateral trade, energy cooperation, border security, and regional connectivity. Pakistan and Iran will also discuss increasing their trade volume and promoting economic cooperation.


This visit is the first major high-level contact after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. Under this agreement, Iran and the US agreed to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.


According to experts, this visit is evidence of Pakistan's growing role in regional peace and stability. Pakistan has once again proven that it can play the role of a strong diplomatic bridge for global peace.
