Saudi-Russia Energy Pact: A Powerful New Guarantee for Global Market Stability

 Special Report – Pakistan Times

Saint Petersburg – In a high-profile meeting at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reaffirmed their strategic energy alliance. The discussions focused on shielding global energy markets from mounting geopolitical risks and supply chain disruptions.

“Without energy security, sustainability is impossible,” the Saudi minister declared, stressing that the global market needs every molecule of energy to maintain equilibrium. Russian Deputy PM Novak acknowledged the growing unpredictability in demand forecasting but confirmed that the OPEC+ coalition continues to adapt effectively to global changes.

The partnership, first established in 2016, remains the backbone of international oil price stability. Despite recent challenges — including the impact of conflicts on Russian refineries and logistical bottlenecks — both nations are closely coordinating to stabilize the sector. According to informed sources, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and other OPEC+ members are expected to agree on new production target adjustments for July during their upcoming ministerial meeting to ensure market resilience.
