Lahore: According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has offered the position of Chief Selector to former national team captain Younis Khan.


Reports indicate that Younis Khan has expressed his willingness to take on this responsibility, but he has set a major condition. Younis Khan stated that he is capable of performing the duties of team selection and is ready to take responsibility for the results, provided he is given complete and unconditional authority in team matters.


Younis Khan emphasized that the primary job of a Chief Selector is to form the team, and he would only be able to perform his duties effectively if there is no external interference in this process. It remains to be seen how the PCB administration responds to Younis Khan's demand for 'full control.'
