Pakistan's military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has emphasized that good governance remains one of the country's most important national priorities, saying the institution has been highlighting the need for better governance for years.
During a press briefing, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry responded to questions regarding recent remarks by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on good governance and the possibility of creating new provinces.
The military spokesperson clarified that Mohsin Naqvi's comments reflected his personal opinion. However, he stressed that good governance in Pakistan is a serious issue directly linked to solving many of the country's long-standing challenges.
