Kuwait Foreign Minister Meets Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir as Pakistan-Kuwait Defense Ties Strengthen


Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah visited Pakistan and held important meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.


The meetings focused on Pakistan-Kuwait relations, defense cooperation, regional security, and matters of mutual interest.


During his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Kuwaiti foreign minister discussed ways to further improve cooperation between the two countries. The prime minister welcomed the visit and said Pakistan values its long-standing friendship with Kuwait.


Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated Kuwait's support and highlighted the importance of stronger cooperation between the two brotherly countries.


Later, Sheikh Jarrah met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. According to ISPR, both sides discussed defense cooperation, regional security, and issues of common interest.


The Kuwaiti foreign minister praised Pakistan's role in promoting peace and stability in the region, while Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening relations with Kuwait.


The visit came shortly after Kuwait approved a defense cooperation agreement with Pakistan. The agreement focuses on military cooperation, training, joint exercises, and improving institutional ties between the armed forces of both countries.


Pakistan and Kuwait have maintained friendly relations for decades. Both countries cooperate in defense, trade, investment, and regional matters.


The talks were held at a time when security challenges in the Middle East have increased. Pakistan has continued to support diplomatic efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region.


Officials from both sides said that further meetings and cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait will continue in the coming months.
