ICC Test Rankings: Pakistan's Abdullah Shafique and Ali Usman Make Major Gains

Top of the Test Batting Charts


England's Harry Brook continues to hold the number one spot in the ICC Test batting rankings, with his compatriot and captain Joe Root in second place. Australia's Steve Smith rounds out the top three, keeping his place among the world's most consistent Test batters.


Pakistan Batters: Shafique's Big Jump


Pakistan captain Babar Azam has held onto his position inside the world's top 10, sitting at 10th in the latest update. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan climbed one place to 26th, while opener Abdullah Shafique was the standout mover among Pakistan's top order, jumping seven places to 28th.


Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel saw a sharp decline, dropping seven places to 33rd, while Test captain Shan Masood moved up one spot to 38th. All-rounder Salman Ali Agha slipped two places to 40th, and opener Imam-ul-Haq fell one place to 57th.


Ali Usman Leads Pakistan's Bowling Gains


Among Pakistan's bowlers, spinner Ali Usman recorded the biggest jump of the update, climbing 30 places on the back of a five-wicket haul in the Headingley Test against England. His performance marked one of the most significant individual gains in the latest rankings cycle for any Pakistani bowler.
