US-Iran Possible Agreement: A Diplomatic Effort to Reduce Tensions in the Region
THE PAKISTAN TIME: Nine major global powers, including the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, have issued a final ultimatum to Israel to immediately halt the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. Israel is planning to construct thousands of new housing units in the highly sensitive 12-square-kilometer area known as "E1," effectively dividing the West Bank into two pieces and permanently isolating Palestinian communities. Global leaders have sternly warned construction companies not to bid on these illegal tenders, stating they will face severe international legal consequences and reputational damage, as these settlements are a blatant violation of international law.
This dangerous escalation comes after Israel forcibly claimed a massive tract of Palestinian land as "state property" in February this year, where over 700,000 Israelis currently reside illegally. On the other hand, human rights organizations have made horrifying revelations that to seize this land, Jewish settlers under the protection of Israeli forces are using brutal violence and horrific crimes like sexual assault (rape) as weapons against innocent Palestinians, shaming humanity on a global scale. In the past, heartbreaking reports of sexual violence and abuse against Palestinian women and children in Israeli detention centers have consistently emerged, and if this barbarism is not stopped now, the entire region will be engulfed in devastating conflict.
